) is pleased to announce that it has selected Kelowna as the site for its head office and assembly facility that will produce a complete line-up of Zero Emission Zero emission refers to an engine, motor, or other energy source, that emits no waste products that pollutes the environment or disrupts the climate. Zero emission engines  Low Speed Electric Vehicles (LSVs).

Chairman Barry Good stated "We are pleased to be locating in Kelowna where we have secured an existing 32,480 square foot facility at 800 McCurdy Road. The site includes over 4 acres of land and is well situated for our start-up requirements".

Dynasty plans to commence production in the first half of 2001 and have capacity to produce up to 10,000 vehicles annually. Mr. Good estimates that the company will create approximately 100 jobs at full production rates. Dynasty president Gerry McParland added "We are very excited over the selection of Kelowna for our first production facility. Kelowna was the choice over other Canadian and US sites due to its manufacturing infrastructure and progressive city and regional governments. Kelowna has a skilled workforce and world class supplier base to support Dynasty in its future growth".

The Dynasty management team consists of several former high profile executives and employees of Western Star Truck Holdings Ltd., including Gerry McParland, President; Kelly Kennedy, VP Finance & Marketing; Ed Murdoch, VP Operations; Don Kort, Manager Material Procurement; Neil Mardell, Manager Product Development; Jeff Grenier, Manufacturing, Facility & Quality Engineering Manager; and Gerald Fitz-Gerald, Manufacturing Engineer.
