WHAT is happening within the police force regarding compensation claims for stress?.

It beggars belief that Pc Rick Parsonson is suing for pounds 400,000 simply because, after an office job which lasted nine years, he was told to work outside on the beat. Surely that is what he was paid to do.

What about the aim of getting more police on the beat? If these cases succeed there'll be fewer on patrol than ever.
