Football: The Canyon Country Athletic Association will hold its last 1999 season football and cheerleading registration on Saturday, May 10 at Round Table Pizza in Canyon Country.

Registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Football players and cheerleaders must be present. CCAA cheer and football programs have openings in all levels of competition.

Parents of 7-year-olds are encouraged to register early on the 10th. Teams in that age group are nearly full.

Soccer: The Santa Clarita Elite Soccer Club will be holding open tryouts for their boys' under-15 gold team today and Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Placerita Junior High. Players born on or after Aug. 1, 1984 are eligible.

Elite's boys' under-15 team placed third in the gold bracket during 1998-1999 season.
