Earvin Effay Johnson, Jr. (born August 14, 1959 in Lansing, Michigan), nicknamed Magic
 will participate in a telephone press conference with Richard Tambor, Senior Vice President and General Manager, American Express American Express (NYSE: AXP), sometimes known as "AmEx" or "Amex", is a diversified global financial services company, headquartered in New York City. The company is best known for its credit card, charge card and traveler's cheque businesses.  Small Business Services, to announce an e-commerce contest sponsored by Blue for Business, a new credit card for small companies. Magic Johnson also will discuss his experiences in preparing for the launch later this year of his own web site, UrbanMagic.com.

The conference call is scheduled for May 22nd at 12:30 p.m. (ET) via a limited-space, toll-free telephone number A toll-free, Freecall, Freephone, or 800 number is a special telephone number, in that the called party is charged the cost of the calls by the telephone carrier, instead of the calling party. .

The Web-based contest will provide 100 small business owners with more than $1400 in free web site services and allow these entrepreneurs to compete with each other for a grand prize of $100,000 to be awarded in January, 2001.
