What: September is Leukemia leukemia (lkē`mēə), cancerous disorder of the blood-forming tissues (bone marrow, lymphatics, liver, spleen) characterized by excessive production of immature or mature  and Lymphoma lymphoma, a cancer of the tissue of the lymphatic system. There are two categories of lymphomas. One type is termed Hodgkin's disease, the other, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (see lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's). See also neoplasm.  Awareness month

The Light The Night Walk is a 2-3 mile evening walk featuring a parade of lighted balloons celebrating and commemorating com·mem·o·rate

To be held in four cities statewide, Light The Night Walk is the perfect way for individuals to help raise funds and awareness for leukemia and lymphoma research and patient assistance by obtaining sponsorships for walking. Interested walkers can call the Indiana Indiana, state, United States
Indiana, midwestern state in the N central United States. It is bordered by Lake Michigan and the state of Michigan (N), Ohio (E), Kentucky, across the Ohio R. (S), and Illinois (W).
 Chapter to register.

Why: Leukemia and lymphoma are the leading fatal cancers for young women and men under the age of 35.

    When and Where: Tuesday, September 19th
                    South Bend - Howard Park and East Race Walkway
                    Registration - 6:00 p.m. Walk Time - 7:00 p.m.

                    Wednesday, September 20th
                    Indianapolis - Eagle Creek Park
                    Registration - 5:30 p.m. Walk Time - 7:00 p.m.

                    Ft. Wayne - Headwaters Park West
                    Registration - 6:00 p.m. Walk Time - 7:00 p.m.

                    Thursday, September 21st
                    Bloomington - Bryan Park, West Shelter
                    Registration - 6:00 p.m. Walk Time - 7:00 p.m.
