WHO:     La Opinion, KVEA-TV/Telemundo 52 and the William C. Velasquez
         Institute (WVCI), which have collaborated in a Los Angeles
         Mayoral Poll finding.

WHAT:    Los Angeles Mayoral Poll Results news conference. The survey
         will be based on 815 interviews with an oversample for Latino
         voters among all registered voters in the city of Los Angeles.
         With a total Latino sample size of 423, it is the only
         accurate measurement of Latino voter preference to date.

WHEN:    Wednesday, April 4

BACKGROUND:

         With less than one week to go before Los Angeles residents
         vote at the primary election for mayor on Tuesday, April 10,
         2001, La Opinion, KVEA-TV/Telemundo 52 and the Willie C.
         Velasquez Institute will release a mayoral poll result.
         Sergio Bendixen, political analyst, will present a power
         point presentation and answer media questions at the news
         conference. In addition, an executive summary and the survey
         questionnaire will be available to all media.
