Former NFL players and Santa Claus add holiday cheer to
young hospital patients and their families at annual fiesta.
WHAT: Orthopaedic Hospital kicks off the holiday season with its
annual "Holiday Fiesta" in conjunction with The Auto Club of
Southern California, LAPD SWAT, former NFL players and Santa
Claus.
Featuring a one-half mile "parade" of SWAT vehicles and tow
trucks bringing Santa from the Auto Club in downtown L.A. to
Orthopaedic Hospital, Santa will deliver thousands of toys to
an expected 1,500 children. Additionally, all kids will have
the opportunity to win prizes at a variety of carnival-type
booths, go on pony rides, visit with Otto the Auto, and eat
hot dogs and popcorn. Children patient representatives, like
15-year-old Melissa Sanchez, who has endured 19 surgeries in
her young life, will be on hand to join in the festivities.
