THE Listed Weatherbys Bank Wensleydale Juvenile Novices' Hurdle is a grand name for a poor race and I can't think of too many races in the calendar that I would like to see lose their Listed status more than this one.

It wasn't a bad contest once upon a time, but the glory days for the race are long gone and it's just another race for threeyear-olds, one that is more likely to produce a future selling hurdle winner than a Triumph Hurdle The Triumph Hurdle is a Grade 1 National Hunt hurdle horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old novices. It is run over a distance of 2 miles 1 furlong (3,420 metres) on the New Course at Cheltenham Racecourse during the Cheltenham Festival in March.  champion.

Nicky Nutjob Nicky Nutjob is a cartoon character and winner of The Beano's Comic Idol 2006 reader poll, drawn by artist Eddie Savino. He became a regular character in May 2006. The premise of the story is that Nicky's dad is an eccentric inventor, but his gadgets always go wrong, causing mayhem for  won yesterday's race, showing plenty of guts to see off the better-fancied pair, Trumpstoo (traded at a low of 1.5) and Mohanad (1.75).

While I am at it, Brian Hughes Brian Hughes may refer to one of the following people:
  • Brian Hughes (musician) - a smooth jazz guitarist.
  • Brian M. Hughes - County Executive for Mercer County, New Jersey.
 (riding Trumpstoo), needs to concentrate more on keeping his mount balanced than on doing an impression of Denis O'Regan Denis O'Regan (born November 1953) is a renowned photographer of rock and pop musicians. Although his imagery is particularly associated with the Punk movement, Queen, David Bowie, and Duran Duran, O'Regan has photographed everyone from AC/DC to ZZ Top, documenting Punk, New  and nearly falling off when his mount was hanging. You might have guessed by now that I did my conkers in running on this race, but no hard feelings, eh, Bri!
