 in Manchester before obtaining a training contract with a Liverpool firm and qualifying as a solicitor in 1998.

FAMILY specialist lawyer Gill Scales has joined Liverpool solicitors Gregory Abrams at their Mathew Street Mathew Street is a famous street in Liverpool, England, probably most well-known for being the location of the Cavern Club, where The Beatles played many concerts early in their career. NORTH WEST Arts Board has appointed Tom Bloxham as chair of the new Regional Arts Council for the North West. As chair Mr Bloxham becomes one of the 15 members of the National Council for the Arts.

PROFESSIONAL services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers Manchester has appointed Ian Logan as National Practice Team Leader in a drive to grow and develop its Valuation & Strategy (VS) practice in the North West.

In his new role Mr Logan is charged with establishing the VS practice outside London and intends to build a dedicated VS team in Manchester, which will serve clients locally whilst helping to create a national VS practice.

COMMUNICATIONS agency Ultimate has appointed Amy Black as business development executive.

Ms Black joins the Knutsford-based company having previously worked within the marketing department at the Northwest Development Agency.
