 DELAWARE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER ANNOUNCES DETAILS
 OF NEW ELECTRONIC INSURANCE AGENT LICENSING PROGRAM
 DOVER, Del., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Delaware Insurance Commissioner David N. Levinson has announced the details of a new electronic insurance agent licensing program.
 Assessment Systems, Incorporated (ASI), located in Philadelphia, will administer the first electronic testing for Delaware insurance agent applicants beginning Dec. 12, 1992.
 According to Levinson, benefits and advantages for insurance agents will include the convenience of increased testing frequency, location flexibility, access to immediate test scores and a telephone reservation system. Other improvements will feature enhanced security with photographs of applicants and professional test development.
 Levinson commented, "Delaware agents have expressed overwhelming support of moving to electronic testing. Enhancing the integrity of the testing system and process for professional insurance agents has a positive impact on Delaware's insurance consumers."
 The Delaware Insurance Department is responsible for licensing Delaware's approximately 6,200 agents contingent upon test results and qualifications. There are more than 2,000 agents tested each year in various lines of insurance.
 Levinson stated, "We take the responsibility of issuing professional licenses to Delaware agents seriously. I am pleased that the Delaware Insurance Department has further improved our regulatory capacity to protect Delaware's agents and insurance consumers in this way."
 Delaware joins 22 other states already utilizing electronic testing for insurance agents.
 Testing will be available two Saturdays a month at Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge, Kitts Hummock Road, Dover, and Claymont Education Campus (former high school), 3401 Green St., 1st Floor, Claymont, Del.

 INSURANCE TESTING PROCEDURES AND LOCATIONS
 FOR EXAMINATIONS ADMINISTERED ON OR AFTER DEC. 12, 1992
 To make an examination reservation call ASI at 800-274-0455
 Reservation Deadlines: Reservations may be made beginning Nov. 5 for insurance examinations administered beginning Dec. 12, walk-in testing is no longer available.
 Telephone: Must reserve at least three business days before an examination. Reservation lines are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.
 Fax: Must reserve at least five business days before an examination, call ASI for forms.
 Testing Locations (8 a.m. and 1 p.m. sessions available at both sites: Dover: Two Saturdays per month (once in December), Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge, Kitts Hummock Road, Dover; Wilmington: Two Saturdays per month (once in December), Claymont Education Campus (former high school), 3401 Green St., 1st floor, Claymont.
 Testing Fees: $70 per session (no cash or personal checks will be accepted). Candidates may take up to two exams per session. Candidates may attend only one session per day.
 What to Bring: Company check, cashier's check, or money order for $70 payable to "ASI" to cover examination fee; two forms of signature ID, one of which must bear your photograph; and the confirmation number you will receive from ASI when you make your reservation.
 Score Reporting: All candidates will receive an official score report immediately following completion of their examination.
 Absences/Refunds: You may reschedule an examination without penalty up to four business days before the scheduled exam. If your are absent and reschedule, or reschedule fewer than four business days before a scheduled exam, you will be responsible for paying the original examination fee.
 Examination Content: Examination content will not change with the implementation of EXPro electronic testing.
