Schlager began playing table tennis when he was 6 years old, learning from his father and brother who were also top Austrian players, making them ideal and Hong Kong's top-player Chinese KO Lai Chak Ko Lai Chak (born 10 May 1976) is a table tennis player from Hong Kong, China. He won a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's doubles alongside Li Ching. . The show match brought together Sunday former World Champion Schlager and Olympic silver medal winner Ko, right in the middle of the Bosphorus Bridge in the glamorous opening of "Euro-Asia All Stars Series" which will be hosted in Istanbul on November 10-11.
