(SCI) TURKISH SCIENTIST DEVELOPS SPECIAL NEEDLE AND THREAD FOR HEART SURGERIES.


MERSIN, Jun 22, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Turkish scientist Professor Murat Dikmengil has developed a special needle and thread to shorten period of heart surgeries.

In an exclusive interview with the A.A, Dikmengil, dean of the Trakya University Trakya University is a popular university in Edirne city which is located at the european side of Turkey.Trakya University was established on the 20th July, 1982 with a Decree to Article 41.  School of Medicine, said, "we have completed the manufacture process in Germany. The needles and thread are ready to be used. Now, a Turkish engineer carries out marketing works."

"These needles and threads are shortening the period of surgery and making a significant contribution to success of operations," he said.

Dikmengil added that the needles and thread would be be tested on human body for the first time in Germany Germany uses Central European Time (Mitteleuropäische Zeit, MEZ; UTC+1) and Central European Summer Time (Mitteleuropäische Sommerzeit, MESZ; UTC+2).  or in another European country soon.
