Speaking at the ceremony, Basbug said military cooperation between the two countries would make significant contributions to the development of Turkish-Egyptian relations. "The memorandum of understanding we signed today is of significant importance for peace in our region as well at a time when global developments force regional countries to cooperate against threats to peace and security," Basbug said.
