(GEN)TURKISH PARLIAMENT LAWMAKER ON DEATH OF TURKISH CITIZEN IN BELGIAN PRISON.


ANKARA, Aug 13, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- A Turkish lawmaker said on Thursday that they asked Belgium to give permission to examine a prison where a Turkish prisoner was claimed to have lost his life under "physical violence".

Zafer Uskul, the chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Turkish Parliament, said he also sent a letter to the head of the Justice Commission at the Belgian parliament via the Foreign Ministry that asked for information on the authenticity The correct attribution of origin such as the authorship of an e-mail message or the correct description of information such as a data field that is properly named. "Allegations of the violation of the right to life, which is the most fundamental human right, are saddening," Uskul said in his letter.

Uskul told A.A correspondent that the Human Rights Committee would go to Belgium and France in the second half of September. Noting that program of the committee had been scheduled on August 5, prior to the death of Turkish citizen Mikail Tekin in Jamioulx Prison in Charleroi, Uskul said they asked Belgium authorities to include this prison to their program as well.
