(GEN) TURKISH SECURITY FORCES SEIZE 31 KG HASHISH.AKSARAY/ELAZIG/BURSA, Nov 22, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Turkish security forces seized 31 kilograms of hashish hashish (hăsh`ēsh, –ĭsh), resin extracted from the flower clusters and top leaves of the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa, and C. indica. in three separate operations on Saturday. Acting on a tip-off, security forces confiscated 11 kilograms of hashish in two cars in the central city of Aksaray and detained four people. In a separate operation in the eastern province of Elazig, gendarmery teams searched a passenger bus and detained one person with 10 kilograms of hashish. Also in Yildirim town of the northwestern province of Bursa, security forces acted on a tip-off, staged an operation on a house and caught one person with 10 kilograms of hashish.
