(GEN) TURKISH PROFESSOR APPOINTED AS PRESIDENT OF ECL.ANKARA, Nov 12, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Prof. Tezer Kutluk, President of the Turkish Association for Cancer Research, was appointed as the president of the Association of European Cancer Leagues. Speaking to A.A correspondent, Prof. Kutluk said Turkish doctors achieved important missions in many areas of medicine and made Turkey's voice heard in international platforms. Prof. Kutluk said very important studies were carried out in Turkey to deal with cancer and noted that, "international organizations appreciate the works in question". Kutluk has been working as executive board member of ECL (Emitter-Coupled Logic) A digital circuit composed of bipolar transistors in which the emitter ends are wired together. Prof. Kutluk will be in office for 2 years. Kutluk said ECL was a federation established by more than 25 cancer associations in Europe in 1980. The vision of ECL is to be a visible and effective player in cancer control and cancer care, in particular in Europe. The role of the ECL is to facilitate the collaboration Working together on a project.
