Turkey's State Minister Faruk Celik had a meeting with Jusuf Osmani, the director of Archives of the State Agency of Kosovo, in the Turkish capital of Ankara. During the meeting, Celik underlined importance of the Balkans for Turkey and said Turkey would continue to support young Republic of Kosovo. "The stability of Balkans is important for peace of the nations living there, Turkey and the entire region," he said. Celik said that Turkish and Kosovan state archives directorates were in close cooperation. Also, Osmani said the aim of the Kosovan directorate was to write a new history using Ottoman documents. "We do not trust some documents written under the influence of some western countries. What is important for us is the Ottoman documents," he said.
