(GEN) SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAMS DISPATCHED TO SITE OF MILITARY JET CRASH.


BALIKESIR, Apr 15, 2009 (TUR) -- A military airplane crashed around the Mustafakemalpasa town of Bursa, and search and rescue efforts are underway, said Mustafakemalpasa Sub-governor Adem Sacan.

Sources told AA that rescue teams are searching for the jet around Kepsut town's Orencik village and Mustafakemalpasa town's Sarnic village.

Colonel Mehmet Turhal, the commander of the Gendarmerie forces in western province of Balikesir, is on his way to Kepsut with a team.

A search and rescue team from an Air Force base in Eskisehir is also on the way to the site of the crash.
