(ECO) TURKISH PREMIER SAYS TURKEY OVERCOMES CRISIS WITH LEAST DAMAGE.


ANKARA Ankara (ăng`kərə, Turk. äng`kärä), city (1990 pop. 2,533,209), capital of Turkey and Ankara prov., W central Turkey, at an elevation of c.3,000 ft (910 m). , Oct 1, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- The Turkish premier said on Wednesday that Turkey had overcome the global economic crisis with the least damage.

Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey had overcome the global economic crisis, that had deeply affected world economies, with the least damage.

"We are not saying that we have not been affected by this crisis, of course we have been affected but we have felt its damage in the least way," Erdogan said in a televised address to the nation.

Erdogan said that the government and all state institutions were working hard to minimize the impact of the global economic crisis and to enter into a dynamic growth process.

"Turkey has not experienced big collapses, mass disasters and giant bankrupts in this process, and we have not made our nation pay the prices of the bankrupt BANKRUPT. A person who has done, or suffered some act to be done, which is by law declared an act of bankruptcy; in such case he may be declared a bankrupt.

Erdogan said the recent picture indicated that Turkey was a bit beyond the recent six-year growth, however the same picture raises hopes that it could enter a dynamic growth process soon.
