(ECO) TURKISH ENERGY GROUP SIGNS LOAN DEAL FOR WIND POWER PLANT.


ISTANBUL, May 11, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Zorlu Energy Group, a Turkish power project developer, has signed a loan deal with international finance corporations for the construction of a wind power plant in southern Turkey, the group said on Monday.

The 130 million euro loan, which would be provided by International Finance Corporation, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

Bank targeted at Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
 and European Investment Bank European Investment Bank, nonprofit bank created in 1958 by the six founding countries of the European Economic Community (now part of the European Union [EU]). , will be used in the construction of the 135 mega-watt wind farm on the Mount Amanos near Osmaniye town of Adana province.

The power plant is expected to go fully operational by late 2009 to generate 500 million kilowatt-hour electricity per year.
