(ECO) TURKEY RANKED 25TH IN EUROPE WITH ITS PRICES.

According to the Turkish Statistical Board (TUIK TUIK Türkiye Istatistik Kurumu (Turkey) ), which compiled economic figures from Eurostat and OECD OECD: see Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. , Turkey was the European country with most expensive prices in sectors such as household appliances, consumer electronics, personal transportation vehicles, and communications.

Based on the price rate index in Europe, Turkey's prices were below the European Union (EU) average in 2008.

The TUIK said that the most expensive European countries in 2008 were Denmark, Norway and Switzerland.

Macedonia was ranked the country with the lowest prices in 2008 in Europe.
