(DIP) TURKISH PRESIDENT DUE TO SLOVAKIA.ANKARA, Nov 1, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Turkish President Abdullah Gul gul n. A stylized octagonal motif in Oriental rugs. [Persian, rose; see julep.] will leave for Slovakia on Sunday as the guest of Slovakia's President Ivan Gasparovic. The two presidents will meet on November 2, and discuss bilateral political, economic, commercial and cultural relations as well as cooperation opportunities and regional and international matters. Gul, during his visit to Slovakia between November 1 and 3, will hold meetings with Slovakian parliament speaker and opposition leader, attend business council meeting and deliver a speech at Comenius University. Turkey is among the countries which recognized Slovakia first, and opened an embassy in this country. Turkey also supported NATO NATO: see North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
