(DIP) TURKISH PARLIAMENT SPEAKER MEETS KAZAKH PRESIDENT.


ANKARA, Oct 22, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- The Turkish parliament speaker met on Thursday the Kazakh president.

Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev Nursultan Abishuly Nazarbayev (Kazakh: Нұрсұлтан Әбішұлы Назарбаев [Nûrsûltan Äbîshûlâ Nazarbayev]; Russian:  paid a visit to the Turkish parliament and met Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Mehmet Ali may refer to:
  • Mehmet (Muhammad) Ali (1769–1849), viceroy of Egypt
  • Mehemed Emin Aali Pasha (1815–1871), Turkish statesman
  • Mehemet Ali (soldier) (1827–1878), Ottoman soldier
 Sahin.

Nazarbayev is actually visiting the Turkish capital of Ankara.

"I believe relations between our parliaments will further improve with the new strategic partnership agreement," Sahin said during the meeting.

Sahin said that Turkish and Kazakh parliamentarians were in close contact, and this cooperation should be maintained in the level of committees, not be limited to friendship groups.

"Our countries are situated in a corridor between the two continents, and this is a significant advantage and opportunity to ensure welfare and increase development in Eurasia," Sahin said.

Sahin also said two countries were aware of that mission.

Also speaking in the meeting, Nazarbayev said Turkic speaking countries discussed establishment of a Turkic board and a Turkic speaking countries academy during their meeting in Nakhichevan.

"They will search Turkish history, culture and language, and I think all these will help us spread our common heritage, the inheritance of our ancestors Our Ancestors (Italian: I Nostri Antenati) is the name of Italo Calvino's "heraldic trilogy" that comprises The Cloven Viscount (1952), The Baron in the Trees (1957), and The Nonexistent Knight (1959).  to the entire world," he said.

Nazarbayev earlier met Turkish President Abdullah Gul gul
