(DIP) TURKISH FM RETURNS TO TURKEY.


ISTANBUL, Jun 7, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu returned to Turkey on Saturday concluding a working visit to the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

Davutoglu met with the United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and had several high level contacts.

Turkish foreign minister paid the visit to the United States after Turkey assumed rotating ro·tate

Turkey took over the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council on June 1 for one month. The presidency of the UN Security Council rotates among the 15 members in alphabetical order. Turkey has been a member of the UN Security Council since January 2009. As one of the 10 non-permanent members, it will stay in the council until the end of 2010.
