During the meeting, the Turkish and Australian authorities discussed launching of joint studies in the historical national park in Gelibolu Peninsula. Ian Campbell said that Turkish, Australian and New Zealander historians and archeologists would launch joint historical and archeological studies in the Anzac Cave, where Anzac soldiers landed during the Canakkale Battles. Campbell also said he hoped the studies would illuminate many unknown issues regarding the Anzac Cave.
