(CUL) PIANIST GULSIN ONAY PERFORMS IN SPAIN.


MADRID, Oct 20, 2009 (TUR tur: see ibex. ) -- Renowned Turkish pianist Gulsin Onay performed in a concert in Madrid, Spain on Monday.

Onay's performance took place at the Borghetto Palace and was watched by a highly selective audience, including ambassadors serving in Madrid.

Onay's performance received a standing ovation.

Gulsin Onay performed in Argentina and Uruguay earlier this month.

Born into a musical family, Gulsin Onay (born 12 September 1954) began to play the piano at the age of three. Her first teacher was her mother. When she was six years olg, Gulsin Onay gave her first concert on TRT TRT Transportation Research Thesaurus

At the age of 10, she received a special government scholarship under the Law for Exceptionally Talented Children, which enabled her to study first in Ankara with Mithat Fenmen and Ahmed Adnan Saygun, and two years later at the Paris Conservatory, where her teachers were Pierre Sancan, Monique Haas Monique Haas (October 20, 1909 - June 9, 1987) was a French pianist.

Born in Paris, she studied at the Conservatoire there with Joseph Morpain and Lazare Lévy, taking a premier prix in 1927. She went on to study with Rudolf Serkin and Robert Casadesus.
, Pierre Fiquet and Nadia Boulanger Nadia Boulanger (September 16, 1887 – October 22, 1979) was an influential French composer, conductor, and music professor. An outstanding music educator at the highest level, she taught many of the most important composers and conductors of the 20th century. . At the age of 16 she graduated with the "Premier Prix de Piano". She continued her studies with Bernhard Ebert in Hannover Musikhochschule.
