'Winnie will be missed by all'.

A GREAT-great-grandmother has died from her injuries 15 days after being knocked down. Bingo fan Winifred Fish, 80, died in hospital on Saturday after colliding with a black Mitsubishi four-by-four more than two weeks earlier. Winifred, from Uphill Road, Llanrumney, Cardiff, leaves behind a large family of five children, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In a statement released today, her family said: 'We are heartbroken over this tragic event and will cherish all the great times Winnie gave us.

'Winnie often went to the St Cadoc's Church Hall where she would enjoy a game of bingo.

'She would love nothing more than to sit and watch snooker on the television and was an avid fan of Welsh rugby. She will be greatly missed by us all.'

, 59, described animal lover Winifred as 'a quiet woman who enjoyed passing the time of day' as she was out on regular walks with her dog, Sam. He said: 'She kept herself very much to herself. She used to walk out and about with Sam and she would always stop and say hello.'

South Wales Police South Wales Police (Welsh: Heddlu De Cymru) is one of the four Home Office police forces in Wales. Its headquarters are based in Bridgend.  are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the accident on Worle Avenue at 7.10pm on Friday, March 10, in which Winifred was injured, or anyone with information. Witnesses should contact the Road Death Investigation Team on 029 2063 3438.
