 'WAITING FOR THE WIND' WINS GOLD ANGEL
 ST. LOUIS, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- "Waiting for the Wind," a


television drama produced by the International Lutheran Laymen's League, has won a Gold Angel award as best TV mini-drama of the year.
 "Waiting for the Wind," which co-starred Robert Mitchum and Rhonda Fleming, was telecast between Aug. 15 and Sept. 15 last year throughout the United States and Canada. It tells the story of a grandfather's strong faith in the face of death and how he shares his faith with his nine-year-old grandson.
 Angel Awards are presented each year by Excellence in Media to "honor those creative people in motion pictures, television, radio, books, albums and all other forms to the media...who turn out works of excellence that have high moral, spiritual or social impact."
 The Angel Award won by the Int'l LLL was presented to Dr. Don Schroeder, director of "Waiting for the Wind" and former executive producer for the Int'l LLL's Envoy Productions, at the Angel Awards Banquet in Hollywood on Feb. 27. Presenting the award was Anita Meyer, a member of the Excellence in Media board of directors and former chairman of the Int'l LLL "This Is the Life" script review committee.
 The Int'l LLL, an auxiliary of The Lutheran Church -- Missouri Synod, carries out a media ministry worldwide. Headquarters are in St. Louis, with a Canadian office in Kitchener, Ontario, and 18 international offices in countries around the world.
