NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1999--

Arista Records and Warner Music Group Warner Music Group (WMG) is one of the four major record labels.

Warner Music Group also has a publishing arm, Warner/Chappell Music, which dates back to 1929, when Jack Warner, president of Warner Bros. Pictures Inc.
 have brought together the definitive collection of 1998 and '99 hit singles with 18 RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America, Washington, DC, www.riaa.com) A membership association of music recording companies. Its goal is to promote the record label industry and protect the rights of copyright owners. It was a major contributor to the SDMI digital distribution system.  gold, platinum and multi-platinum artists and groups. The first volume of TOTALLY HITS, as this new series is titled, has been set for a November 9th in-store date. (Please see final song sequence on following page.) Arista arista (ä·riˑ·st  and Warner Music Group will release four TOTALLY HITS compilations over the next two years. Prior to release to retail, each volume will be backed by extensive direct response TV, radio, Internet and print advertising campaigns.

Headlined by nearly a dozen No.1 singles from the Pop, R&B, Rock, Dance, and Country charts, TOTALLY HITS is the first multi-format collection to boast virtually an entire program of bonafide crossover smashes. The album reads like a Who's Who of Billboard hits for the past 12 months with TLC's "No Scrubs," Cher's "Believe," Whitney Houston's "Heartbreak Hotel," Madonna's "Ray Of Light," Santana's (with Rob Thomas of matchbox 20) "Smooth," and Barenaked Ladies' "One Week."
