Arista Records and Warner Music Group have brought together the definitive collection of 1998 and '99 hit singles with 18 RIAA gold, platinum and multi-platinum artists and groups. The first volume of TOTALLY HITS, as this new series is titled, has been set for a November 9th in-store date. (Please see final song sequence on following page.) Arista and Warner Music Group will release four TOTALLY HITS compilations over the next two years. Prior to release to retail, each volume will be backed by extensive direct response TV, radio, Internet and print advertising campaigns.

Headlined by nearly a dozen No.1 singles from the Pop, R&B, Rock, Dance, and Country charts, TOTALLY HITS is the first multi-format collection to boast virtually an entire program of bonafide crossover smashes. The album reads like a Who's Who of Billboard hits for the past 12 months with TLC's "No Scrubs," Cher's "Believe," Whitney Houston's "Heartbreak Hotel," Madonna's "Ray Of Light," Santana's (with Rob Thomas of matchbox 20) "Smooth," and Barenaked Ladies' "One Week."
