'THE REEBOK PRESEASON COLLEGE FOOTBALL SPECIAL' FEATURES THE 1993 PLAYBOY ALL-AMERICA TEAM

Program Includes Entertaining Profiles of Key 1993 Players
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Playboy magazine Sports Editor Gary Cole predicts an 11-0 national championship repeat for the Crimson Tide of Alabama on the syndicated television program, "The Reebok Preseason College Football Special," featuring the 1993 Playboy All-America team, airing nationwide from Aug. 21 through Sept. 5, 1993.
The world's best-selling men's magazine is spotlighted on the one- hour telecast for its 37th annual pick of the nation's top college football talent and teams in its pre-season round-up. The September issue of Playboy, including the complete "Playboy's Pigskin Preview," is on sale now.
Hosted by veteran sports announce Pat O'Brien with Cole, "The Reebok Preseason College Football Special" takes viewers to Playboy's All- America Weekend in Phoenix, where the nation's leading players participated in a host of non-football fun competitions.
On the telecast, viewers will see features including an insightful profile of USC's Tony Boselli, who spent this past summer working as a ranch hand at a Colorado convent of Benedictine nuns; a report on colorful coach John Robinson's return to USC; a closer look at a leading Heisman Trophy candidate, Marshall Faulk of San Diego State; and an outrageous attempt by 6-foot 9-inch, 310-pound Georgia guard Bernard Williams to ride a very unenthusiastic horse.
Also on the telecast are a light-hearted look at the "Best and Worst" of college football; a basketball slam dunk contest among the football All Americans; and an inspiring examination of the triumphs over adversity of Syracuse's Shelby Hill, son of former Buffalo Bills star J.D. Hill.
"The Reebok Preseason College Football Special" highlights include Playboy magazine's Top 20 predictions and a look at this year's winner of the Anson Mount Scholar/Athlete Award, Michigan State Spartans' free safety Steve Wasylk.
"The Reebok Preseason College Football Special," produced by GGP Sports in association with Playboy Entertainment Group Inc., is syndicated to 192 stations, representing 90 percent of the nation's television markets. The two companies plan jointly to produce and distribute a college basketball preview special in December. Executive producer is Robert C. Horowitz, and senior producer is Ted Griggs.
