 today urged Merseysiders to roar his Davis Cup team on to glory at the Liverpool ECHO Arena Liverpool Echo Arena is the Arena half of ACC Liverpool currently being built on the Liverpool waterfront and scheduled to open in January 2008.[1] .

Poland will be the opponents when Britain's tennis stars - including Andy Murray - will be fighting to avoid relegation from Group I of the Euro/Africa zone from September 18-20.

"We really need the crowd there to go bonkers for us," declared Lloyd.

It is the first time the Davis Cup will ever have been played in the city and Lloyd is confident it will be a success.

" We don't have any worries about the Arena being used for tennis for the first time. We can put down our own surface specifically how we want," said Lloyd.
