'Problem' paddock gate looks set to stay.


JOCKEYS have called for the paddock gate at Towcester to be moved past the winning line after Shelomoh jinked left en route to victory in the 2m handicap chase yesterday.

The incident came at the paddock exit, 100 yards from the line, and Paddy Aspell became unbalanced as Shelomoh brushed the rail. He regained his balance and got his mount going again to hold on.

He said: "When horses get tired on testing ground Noun 1. testing ground - a region resembling a laboratory inasmuch as it offers opportunities for observation and practice and experimentation; "the new nation is a testing ground for socioeconomic theories"; "Pakistan is a laboratory for studying the use of American , here their inclination is to try to go out at the paddock gate. They should move it past the winning post."
