'MUSIC MAN' TO INVADE NEWHALL WITH TUNES MUCH-LOVED SHOW WILL OPEN FRIDAY, RUN THROUGH SEPT. 8.

The first show of the Canyon Theatre Guild's 2002-03 season will be the popular Broadway musical ``The Music Man,'' opening Friday and running through Sept. 8 at the Newhall theater.

Performances of ``The Music Man'' are scheduled for 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. A special champagne reception will precede opening night Friday. Tickets are $12 to $16 for adults and $9 to $12 for students and seniors. Reservations can be made by calling the Guild box office at (661) 799-2702.
