 'M&M'S'(R)/ESSEX HORSE TRIALS CROSS COUNTRY JUMPING
 WHAT: Opportunity for pre-event coverage of "M&M's"(R)/Essex Horse


Trials which take place May 15 - 17. Event is a proving ground for Barcelona Olympics hopefuls, and the first of four qualifying events for the Federation Equestre Internationale America's Cup. 130 world-class competitors, including five Olympians and Olympic hopefuls will compete in the three day event, the ultimate competition for horses and riders.
 Preview will give the media an opportunity to:
 -- Cover demonstration of cross-country jumping, the most visually exciting and daring element of any equestrian competition;
 -- Meet and interview: Olympian Karen Stives, and two "M&M's Young Riders, Lida Thompson and Lara Della Ripa, recent competitors at the "M&M's Young Riders Championships who finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 1991 United States Combined Training Association Young Rider Standings.
 -- Attend press luncheon
 -- View Somerset Pony Club demonstration
