'LATINO BINGO' SHOW IN SPANISH INTERACTIVE TV PROGRAM A FIRST.

SANTA CLARITA Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  - A prominent valley entertainment business is partnering with Spanish-language network Telemundo to launch an interactive Latino game show, touted as the first of its kind.

ValCom Inc. will launch ``Latino Bingo'' Oct. 25 on seven of Telemundo's affiliate stations in California and Nevada.

The show will be a game of bingo, which the audience can play on bingo cards that will be provided by sponsors. Winners of the bingo game will call into the show and receive their prizes.

``It's a totally interactive program where the only audience are contestants who actually play along with the game,'' said the show's executive producer, Ron Foster.

The show represents ``the first true Hispanic interactive game show,'' which Vellardita says will serve his Valencia-based company well.

``This innovative program will give advertisers their return on dollars spent, by reaching the rapidly growing buying-power dollars of the Hispanic demographic,'' Vellardita said.

KUNA-TV, Channel 15 serving the Coachella Valley will be the first station to air ``Latino Bingo.''
