'LATE SHOW' CRUNCHES NUMBERS TO COME OUT AHEAD OF 'TONIGHT'.

The Late Show with David Letterman is a multiple Emmy Award-winning hour-long weeknight comedy talk show broadcast by CBS from the Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway in New York City.

Blondie returns: Great news for comic strip fans - some old-fashioned movie versions of the Sunday funnies are coming to the tube, beginning this weekend.

Cable's American Movie Classics has acquired the rights to the entire string of "Blondie" films, and will begin running them every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

The films, which were based on the still-popular Chic Young comic strip, star Penny Singleton as Blondie and Arthur Lake as her sub-munching hubby, Dagwood Dagwood
