"We had our problems, there's no question about it, so
coming to Ireland was like beginning all over again and it afforded us
that time to get back to basics really.
"My grandmother, who came from Belfast, used to come to Cork
every winter because it was warmer.
"So we bought a house there. We gardened, I learned to cook
and used all the produce from the garden. The kids got jobs and we
started a whole new life."
