'Hitler Youth' Synagogue Restored to Jews in Poland.


After decades of remaining empty, a synagogue synagogue (sĭn`əgŏg) [Gr.,=assembly], in Judaism, a place of assembly for worship, education, and communal affairs. The origins of the institution are unclear. One tradition dates it to the Babylonian exile of the 6th cent. B.C.  in Poland Poland, Pol. Polska, officially Republic of Poland, republic (2005 est. pop. 38,635,000), 120,725 sq mi (312,677 sq km), central Europe. It borders on Germany in the west, on the Baltic Sea and the Kaliningrad region of Russia in the north, on Lithuania,  formerly used by the Hitler Youth Hitler Youth

Organization set up by Adolf Hitler in 1933 for educating and training male youths aged 13–18 in Nazi principles.
 (Hitlerjugend) reopened for the Jewish New Year.
