'He has been just as good this year' Contender. Youmzain.

Byline: Jon Lees

MICK CHANNON Michael Roger 'Mick' Channon (born 28 November 1948 in Orcheston, Wiltshire, United Kingdom) is a sportsman who enjoyed a career as a feared football goalscorer with Southampton and England in the 1970s and later became a hugely successful racehorse trainer.  knew Zarkava was meant to be "the best thing since sliced bread Since Sliced Bread is an online contest sponsored by SEIU. "He's in good heart," said Channon. "I think he's been just as good this year. He's just been unfortunate. He should have won in Dubai and didn't quite get up in the Coronation, then the race in France came probably at the wrong time for him. He had his run the other day in Germany and he's come out of it great."

Channon had to wait for a lengthy stewards' inquiry before Dylan Thomas was confirmed the winner by a head from Youmzain, a controversial judgement on the evidence of Dar Re Mi's recent demotion de·mote

He said: "He would have been an Arc winner now if they had interpreted the rules correctly," adding: "I've got no gripes as, under our rules, I wouldn't have even looked twice.

"I don't think it would change my life much [if Youmzain wins] but it would be very exciting, even for me. It's a way of life, and we're desperate for him to win. They were saying Zarkava was the best thing since sliced bread and now we've got another one this year. Dylan Thomas was lower class!" Jon Lees
