BURBANK, Calif., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Every Saturday from July 10 through Sept. 18, will be "Dino-Saturday" on The Disney Channel, announced Bruce Rider, senior vice president of programming. Hosted and narrated by Walter Cronkite, this "Dinosaur!" series gives viewers the opportunity to experience what researchers have learned about the prehistoric creatures, their habitats and why they vanished. The history lesson is supplemented with animated models, computer animation, interviews with scientists and visits to digs and historically significant fossil sites. The first episode, "The First Clue: Tale Of A Tooth," will be followed on July 17, with "The Fossil Rush: Tale Of A Bone," on July 24, with "Birth Of A Legend: Tale Of An Egg," and on July 31, with "Giant Birds Of The Air: Tale Of A Feather."

On Aug. 14, "Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs" and "Prehistoric World" will be shown at 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and on Aug. 21, "Son of Dinosaur" will air at 3 p.m. Also hosted by Owens and Boardman, "The Return of Dinosaurs" will have its world television premiere on The Disney Channel on Sept. 4 at 3 p.m., with the clay- animated "Stanley And The Dinosaurs" airing at 3:30 p.m. "The Return Of Dinosaurs" takes viewers to a Dino-snore (a dinosaur slumber party) at a natural history museum, presents mechanized dinosaurs and shows the complex robotics that make them move and visits a Canadian museum of paleontology to learn how fossils are recovered and preserved.
