'Cyclone Nisha' wrecks havoc across Tamilnadu.

Chennai, Nov.29 (ANI): Unending rain for the last 48 hours has thrown normal life out of gear across costal Tamilnadu. Cyclone cyclone, atmospheric pressure distribution in which there is a low central pressure relative to the surrounding pressure. The resulting pressure gradient, combined with the Coriolis effect, causes air to circulate about the core of lowest pressure in a  Nisha which crossed the coastal Tamilnadu two days ago is still having its effect, lashing Chennai continuously.

Several areas, including the city's posh localities are water logged and the authorities have had to rush in boats to shift people to safer places.

Velachery, which is on the I. T Highway is said to be the worst affected area where people in high rise buildings unable to come out due waist deep water. Traffic movement between Medavakkam and Velachery has been hit as water from the Narayanapuram Lake has overflowed and submerged the Velachery-Tambaram highway.

Almost all parts of the state capital have been hit by the incessant rain. Several water-logged areas in the city do not have access to essential services, such as milk and electricity. Power supply and telephone lines too are badly disrupted dis·rupt
