'CHERFITNESS: A NEW ATTITUDE' DEBUTS AT NO. 2 ON HEALTH & FITNESS VIDEO CHART; $5 REFUND AND CENTS-OFF COUPON GIVES CONSUMERS EVEN MORE VALUE
 DEERFIELD, Ill., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- "CherFitness(TM): A New Attitude," the recently released fitness video created by superstar and fitness enthusiast Cher and promoted by Equal(R) sweetener and distributor CBS/Fox Video, has achieved the highest ranking ever for a new release (No. 2) on the Billboard Health and Fitness Video chart in its first month of distribution.
 "CherFitness" is also rapidly approaching the top 10 in Billboard's Top Video Sales chart -- a ranking of the 40 top-selling videos including movies, health and fitness, recreational sports, music, etc. "CherFitness" is one of only two health and fitness videos currently appearing on the chart.
 "CherFitness'' is available for a suggested retail price of $19.98. However, promotional partners Equal and CBS/Fox Video are offering a $5 refund on purchases of both "CherFitness" and Equal. Consumers can purchase "CherFitness" and Equal simultaneously to receive $5 off at the time of purchase, or mail in proofs of purchase and sales receipts for Equal and "CherFitness" for a $5 refund check.
 "The video offers terrific value to the consumer in several ways," said Susan Friestad, promotion manager for Equal. "Cher offers celebrity appeal and credibility as a motivator. Combined with the $5 refund from the purchase price, the video is also less of a workout on the wallet."
 Coupons for the $5 instant and mail-in refunds will appear nationally in this Sunday's (Jan. 12) newspaper advertising supplements, along with a cents off coupon for Equal that will provide a further discount to consumers.
 "Equal is part of Cher's personal healthy lifestyle, so the combination makes perfect sense," said Friestad. "She effectively demonstrates that exercise and smart eating go hand-in-hand."
 "CherFitness" is a revolutionary fitness program that reflects her personal style. The program features a workout focusing on various parts of the body formatted in segments, so that busy exercisers can get exactly the workout they need in the time they have.
 In commenting on the video, Cher said, "I based this program on my own cross training technique. It's in modular increments, so if you don't have a great deal of time or you just need to concentrate on one area of the body, no sweat!"
 "'CherFitness' at number 14 in Top Video Sales is indicative of Cher's popularity and mass appeal. Rarely does a fitness video have this kind of presence on the charts," said Sal Scamardo, director of promotions for CBS/Fox Video.
 Equal sweetener is made with NutraSweet(R) brand sweetener. Both are manufactured by The NutraSweet Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Monsanto Co. (NYSE: MTC), with headquarters in Deerfield.
