'Best of Bahrain' creative contest launched.

Middle East Media (MEM (MicroElectroMechanical) See MEMS. ), a leading out-of-home media specialist in Bahrain, has announced the launch of the 'Best of Bahrain' Creative Pioneers Competition.

The contest is organised in partnership with Global Village Partnerships (GVP GVP Genesys Voice Platform

), founders and editors of the 'Best of' title publications and online global business directory, and seeks to cultivate cul·ti·vate

a. To improve and prepare (land), as by plowing or fertilizing, for raising crops; till.

b.
 the value of Bahraini culture and creativity and to promote it on a world scale.

Supported by the Economic Development Board and Ministry of Culture & Information, the competition is open for all nationalities and ages who find inspiration, sources of content and insight, coming from Bahraini culture.

The competition will recognise the top three submissions in photography, painting, computer graphic art, graphic design , creative writing and architecture design.

Entries will be accepted from November 16, 2009 to February 16, 2010. Shortlisted entries will be showcased on the GVPedia website from February 23, 2010 -- March 16, 2010, after which three winners from each category will be announced, promoted with a full page print of their work in the 'Best of Bahrain' publication to be launched in May 2010 for local, regional and global distribution.

Rawia Beyhum, project manager of 'Best of Bahrain' publication, said: "The 'Best of Bahrain' Creative Pioneers Competition represents our commitment to promoting Bahraini culture through its community sentiment and for exhibiting these alongside the publication's featured high profile Bahraini corporate brands, with the viewpoint that corporations keep close to and provide for the needs of the Bahraini community through understanding and valuing it first and foremost."

The Best of Bahrain Creative Pioneers Competition has attracted an advisory board and jury of prominent and representative Bahraini citizens and residents: Renowned Bahraini photographer Deyana Ahmadi for photography; founder and chief creative of Muharraqi-Studios Khalid Al-Muharraqi for CGA; selected as one of the 50 most powerful people in Bahrain by Arabian Arabian

having some relationship to Arabia, most conspicuously Arabian horses.
