'Aussies are good.

Byline: Rugby League

Great Britain Great Britain, officially United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, constitutional monarchy (2005 est. pop. 60,441,000), 94,226 sq mi (244,044 sq km), on the British Isles, off W Europe. The country is often referred to simply as Britain.  coach Brian Noble has rejected claims that his side are rank outsiders going into their crunch do-or-die Tri-Nations decider in Brisbane tomorrow.

Australian bookmakers have the Kangaroos at almost evens to avenge their 32-12 upset loss in Sydney two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the Lions are ranked as 6-1 shots for the outright victory they need to book a berth in next weekend's final back in Sydney.

But Noble has dismissed the notion of favouritism as the old enemies come face-to-face for the second time in the series.

"Underdogs and 'overdogs', I don't think there are such things at this level of football," said Noble.

"I think what we're fully aware of and what we fully understand is the Australians are a pretty good team. But we think we are as well.

"That's how we started this competition and it's still in our hands. We've got to perform."

The Lions finally arrived in Brisbane on Thursday lunchtime after electing to prepare at their Sydney base after leaving Wellington.

And Noble made it clear the squad had worked tirelessly in training all week to correct the mistakes of their 34-4 defeat at the hands of New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland. .

"It's pretty obvious that what we did last week wouldn't bring home the spoils this week," Noble said.

"We've reinforced the beliefs of the way that we should play and the kind of things that we should do."

"It's important that we do change from last week but a mental shift as well will help us."

Noble has opted to drop Kirk Yeaman, Garreth Carvell and Rob Burrow from his provisional seven-man interchange bench leaving James Roby, Adrian Morley, Lee Gilmour and Jon Wilkin as the replacements.

Captain Darren Lockyer believes having six Queensland stars in Australia's backline backline

Following the recalls of Johnathan Thurston at half-back and Justin Hodges at centre, six of the seven backline positions will be filled by Queenslanders when the side runs out.

And with incoming hooker Cameron Smith another Queenslander, Ricky Stuart's side has a distinctly home-based feel to it.
