"This gives families and friends a way to offer each other motivation and support as they lose weight and have fun together while competing," says Shondelle Miles, host of the challenge and owner of The Fitness Playground. The contest will consist of nutritional and motivational workshops and full body circuit training workouts that consist of cardio-vascular and resistance training. The challenge is inspired by the reality TV show, The Biggest Loser and is formatted based on a similar program Miles developed in 2004 -- The Fat Blaster Weight Loss & Nutrition Camp for Women. Contest winners will be determined by the amount of inches and body fat partners lose as a pair. Altogether, more than $1,500 in cash and prizes will be offered to winning partners. The grand prize for the top two partners is a three-day, two-night vacation at the Viva Wyndham Resort in the Grand Bahamas Grand Bahama: see Bahamas. Island. Other prizes include fitness apparel, facials, dinner at a local restaurant and free personal training sessions. Cost for participating in the contest is $97 per person, per month.
