The main structure will be a hybrid of cast-in-place concrete on the lower levels and structural steel for the upper levels and roof canopy. The roof canopy will be ringed with the familiar frieze frieze, in architecture, the member of an entablature between the architrave and the cornice or any horizontal band used for decorative purposes. In the first type the Doric frieze alternates the metope and the triglyph; that of the other orders is plain or similar to the original stadium constructed in 1923. The field will sit 12-ft. below street-level, allowing for easier access and vertical transportation to the six different levels of the building. The new stadium will also feature 67 premium suites.
