$6 Million of Taro Notes Converted to Ordinary Shares.


HAWTHORNE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 1999--

Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq:TARO) today announced that $6.0 million principal amount of 10% Exchangeable Subordinated Notes (the "Notes") issued in 1995 by Taro Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. and guaranteed by the Company had been exchanged for 668,896 Ordinary Shares of the Company. The sole holder of the Notes was Morgan Morgan, American family of financiers and philanthropists.
