The Advanced Technology and Academic Centre (ATAC ATAC Arimidex, tamoxifen and combination therapy ) will measure 8,400-square-metres and will house advanced technology applications, primarily in the area of engineering and computer science. "It's really going to be a strong statement that the university is there on the cutting-edge of technology," he says. "I think it's going to move us forward."

The facility will create over 1,300 new spaces for students and will include "smart" classrooms, videoconferencing facilities, multi-media productions/teaching services, Geographic Information Systems geographic information system (GIS)

"ATAC will be viewed as a community resource," he says. "To have a facility like (the lecture hall lecture hall nsala de conferencias;

"I think there are a number of possibilities," Whitfield says. "There are a number of conferences in the spring and summer on campus, and I think the (ATAC) facilities could help."

The project received $13.4-million funding from the province's Superbuild Growth Fund, announced in February of this year. The balance of the funding, Whitfield says, will come from fund-raising initiatives and other partners from the community and the province.
