(Nasdaq: JDAS) Thursday announced that QuikTrip, a $3 billion convenience store retailer operating 355 company-owned stores in nine states, licensed the JDA Portfolio(TM) Open DataBase Merchandising System(TM) (ODBMS (Object DataBase Management System) See object database. (R)) in second quarter 2001.

After an extensive evaluation of 12 competing applications, the Oklahoma-based retailer selected ODBMS to reduce operational costs, increase sales and better serve customers by improving efficiencies and inventory control.
