The check is the result of the challenge that Wisvest-Connecticut issued to its fellow corporate citizens earlier this year - raise $25,000 and we will match it to help build a house in New Haven. The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce stepped up to the door in the first corporate challenge of its kind and met the challenge in a variety of ways. The Chamber and its members raised money through Fete D'ete -- a summertime feast at Hot Tomato's in New Haven with famous French chef Jacques Pepin, its Business After Hours Adv. 1. after hours - not during regular hours; "he often worked after hours" events and by the generosity of other individual member donations. "We are very excited to complete the Wisvest/Chamber Challenge and to hand a $25,000 check to Habitat for Humanity. Construction on the house began in September and will be completed by this spring.
